UPBC president Celestino Mindra and New Vision journalist James Bakama have won WBC awards.

UPBC president Celestino Mindra and New Vision journalist James Bakama have won WBC awards.
Mindra was named commissioner of the year while Bakama was recognised for his coverage of prize fighting. The two Ugandans were honoured at a function last Friday.
Mindra received a silver WBC plaque while Bakama was given a certificate by WBC president Jose Sulaiman.
“You are a true brother of WBC, who has used the pen to promote professional boxing,†the WBC boss said before he handed Bakama the certificate.
Meanwhile, WBC will meet in Mexico December 6 to decide who hosts the next convention.
