Museveni is indeed a nationalist

SIR — President Yoweri Museveni’s economic policies and strategies depict his nationalism, especially when he recently declared the movement’s fight against “modern slavery” of exporting raw materials like coffee to developed countries. These countries attained their ‘developed’ status just from our resources . The President’s recent notion of giving a boost to Bidco is a sparkling ray of hope to nurse our sick economy. Museveni’s pledge of 8000 hectares of land to BIDCO in Bugiri and a 50 percent grant for power if the company undertakes to build a biomas generation plant, is an intellectual activity which will invite more investors to Uganda. I wish all the stakeholders in the economy would think like Museveni for the good of our country. His vision is invaluable to Uganda and his economic policies are very sound indeed.
