A clash over what procedure to follow highlighted the elections of SDCA's ten delegates to the FUFA assembly yesterday.

One group was in for each of the ten positions being contested by two club officials.

Another section insisted on SDCA's usual procedure of nomination of 15 people from whom the required 10 delegates would be voted.
Election officer Vincent Khisa resolved the stalemate at Nakivubo by setting a middle ground where 13 people were nominated and subjected to a vote to get the ten.

Victor FC’s Col. Jackson Bell topped with 30 votes.
Police FC coach Charles Ayieko followed with 29. Others: Badru Kigwe-27 (KCC), Patrick Isiagi-26 (K’la Utd), Godfrey Kisekka-26 (KCC), Kavuma Kabenge- 25 (Express), A. Kimuli-25 (K’la Utd), Luyimbazi Mugalu-23 (SC Villa), I. Kayigwa-23 (Simba), J. Okech-22 (Police).

The schools exercise was smooth save for zone 2 where two elections were held.
Mbale, Busia and Sironko are accused of having connived to elect at a hidden venue.

Pallisa, Tororo and Kapchorwa arrived at the Malukhu administration block election venue only to be shocked by the zone's chairman Issa Musiiwa that polls had already been held. Mbale's Hamidu Masaba was elected.

Musiiwa attended both elections but refused to endorse the second on grounds that he had supervised the first.
Kapchorwa, Pallisa and Tororo petitioned after electing Paul Higenyi.

The returning officer cancelled both elections and will announce new dates.
Meanwhile, veteran administrator John Mutenda’s long era as FUFA delegate ended yesterday after his club KCC declined to forward his name for the SDCA delegates elections.

Instead, KCC endorsed Badru Kigwe and Godfrey Kisekka as its candidates.
Mutenda was until October the SDCA chairman before Kigwe took over.
URA representatives stormed out of the meeting accusing Kabenge, one of the organisers of ‘manipulation.’

Elsewhere, Boniface Opio and Billy Ochen will represent Zone three secondary and primary schools delegates for Lira and Apac.
At the sametime, James Okodi and William Okwaput were elected delegates for Soroti.

Schools delegates:
Zone 1- Peter Okwi, zone 2 (cancelled), zone 3 Billy Ochen, Zone 4- King Joel, zone 5-Hamidu Kasinde, zone 6- Benon Turyeijuka, zone 7- Byuma Lubega, zone 8 William Kayongo, zone 9 John Bosco Masiko, Zone 10- Francis Nsimbi, Zone 11-Derrick Bundika, Zone 12-Yusuf Kamulegeya, Zone 13- Joseph Kaggwa
