GULU — Over 60 UPDF deserters and civilians without proper identification were last week netted in two separate security operations in the municipality, sources said. A source said 20 civilians and UPDF deserters were arrested on Friday in Layibi industrial area and go-down. Earlier in the week, 40 UPDF deserters and civilians had been netted in Bar Dege division.
‘No bribery’
LIRA — Politicians have been advised against bribing voters with booze or cash, because this shows backwardness and jeopardises development. Rev. Capt. Esau Omara Ejon was speaking at the second graduation ceremony of Lira integrated nursery school on December 6.
