Re-think retake policy

SIR — The policy of retakes at Makerere University should change. Retakes are very tiresome because a student gets a retake this academic year and has to wait for the following year to re-sit the failed paper. I suggest that the re-take be done the same year to avoid overcrowding during exams and graduation.
