MUKONO —
The out-going RDC, Charles Mubiru, has said he has no regrets to have served in the district for two years. Mubiru said he had managed to implement President Yoweri Museveni’s manifesto. He was addressing district officials and handing over office to his successor Deo Nsereko at the boardroom recently.

Locals urged

The Police liaison officer, Annacletus Mukuza, has appealed to residents to liaise with police and security organs in combating crime and always desist from taking the law into their hands. He was addressing residents of Kijumba parish, Kiyuni sub-county. He warned them against mob justice to discipline suspected criminals.

KAMPALA —
The state minister for primary education, Namirembe Bitamazire, has asked parents to monitor their children’s performance by physically visiting schools. In a recent interview at her office, she said some pupils registered poor grades due to failure of parents to investigate what is being studied at schools.
