Bugishu deputy district khadi Hajj Mohammed Wamboya has decried the practice of fighting over a deceased persons’ property. He was leading prayers at the home of the late Ali Lubowa, 84, at Nampanga in Buwalasi recently.

Boy killed
JINJA —
Simon Isiko, 16, a S.3 student of St. John Wakitaka, was recently electrocuted when he was trying to harvest a jackfruit. Mafubira sub-county chairperson Richard Gulume blamed the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company for not clearing the lines regularly.

Woman jailed
JINJA —
Grade One Magistrate Patrick Mbangire recently remanded in Kirinya Prison Alima Nakato, 32, of Bugembe over stealing sh475,000. Prosecution said the money belonged to Fazira Nakanjako, whose bag Nakato allegedly stole on December 26, 2003.
