KENYA Airways (KA) has taken a group of Ugandan travel agents for a one- week familiarisation trip to Bangkok, Thailand.

The airline’s country sales manager, Emmanuel Okware, said this recently in a press release.

Okware said, “We thought it prudent to facilitate these travel agents so that they could experience what they hear and read about Bangkok.”

He said they wanted the agents to widen their scope by studying the Asian market.
Okware said the agents will visit institutions dealing in the same business and form partnerships.

Okware said the aim was to enable Ugandans transact more business with the bigger part of the Asian market.

The group will tour places like the Grand Palace and attend the Bangkok international leather fair.

Kenya Airways flies to Bangkok three times a week and operates 32 direct flights.
Some of the destinations en-route to Bangkok include Dubai, Bombay and Delhi.
London and Amsterdam are its key destinations in Europe.
