Well if you had been paying attention during the week, Monica Ndirugendawa, the traffic liaison officer at Jinja Road Police Station urged drivers who cannot control their libido to stop the habit immediately!
Are you telling me that when people were driving to and from work they are also having sex in the car?
Well according to Ndirugendawa, that appears to be the case. The trend of having sex in the car is so rampant on Gayaza and Masaka roads that I now feel the urge to move from my current abode in Munyonyo and get some of the action. Why the people from Gayaza and Masaka roads in particulat that I don’t know. May be it is in the food or water that they drink that give them the urge to ‘eat’ things while on the move. On the other hand it could be a sense of thrill that might be driving them into this activity. The scenery of Masaka and Gayaza roads rushing past you coupled with the car horn blaring and the screech of tyres could be exactly what some people need.
Why would people want to have sex on the road? What is wrong with their houses, going to a lodge or doing it in a dark alley way as has been the norm?
As far as I am aware the lodges are still there and not full to capacity. The drak alley way too have not been boarded up - just look at the pictures in The Red Pepper, people are still doing it in the open. This is the new in thing, part of keeping up with the rest of the world I suppose.
Did Ndirugendawa tell you whether couples were having sex in the back of the car as someone drove them or were the naughty couples having sex as they drove themselves?
Her utterances appear to suggest the couples were having sex as they drove themselves, but however, she did not elaborate on what kind of sex they were having. It would be interesting to know because according to news reports two weeks ago, a certain brand of sex can lead to mouth cancer!
I don’t think you need to go into detail - I get the gist. Now TB to put you on the spot, is it easier to have sex in a manual car or an automatic? I mean I have been thinking about it and can’t quite figure out which is the safest. And should I use a 4x4 or a manual?
Be easy! I have never had sex while driving so I am not a good authority on the matter. But if I were to suggest an opinion, I would imagine that having regardless of whether it is an automatic or manual it certainly is dangerous and you should abstain from it.
But assuming I did go ahead and wanted to do my things while on the move, what ideas would you suggest?
I am not condoning this activity but I am aware that some people are doing it and if they are there is a need to be very careful. Apart from that, I don’t think it would be a good idea to pick a road that has many curves, bends and roundabouts in it. You have to remember that you only have two hands, so controlling the steering wheel and tending to your other activities might be more than a handful.

Good question and it is one that I can’t answer. I suggest you go to Jinja Road Police Station and ask her. If I were to hazard a guess, I might say that these police officers are highly trained to spot things. Though it is a dangerous practice, there is this straight road that goes on for miles near Nakasongola. In the next few days, if you hear I have had an accident in that area, then you know what I was doing! And then if you had to pay a bribe to get away with it what does one exactly do. Offer the arresting officer a piece of the ‘second hand’ action?
