LAROPI ferry that connects Moyo and Adjumani districts across the Nile River lacks fuel, the in-charge, Ahmed Aginya has said.
Aginya recently said the capacity of the ferry was about 240 litres for the twin engine and 120 for the old one. He said that only 30 litres was allocated and sometimes no fuel at all.
According to some travellers from Moyo, since last Tuesday, those who crossed the river had to provide fuel from their vehicles for the ferry to run.
The ferry that was donated by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees and is maintained by the works ministry, can carry two buses, four small vehicles and over 200 people at ago.
