Man Held Over Murder
KAMPALA
— A man suspected to have killed a businessman has been remanded in Luzira Prison. Fred Kamuhangire, 30, a security guard of Mengo near Lubiri, was on Monday charged with the murder of Joseph Bukulu. He was not allowed to plead to the charge since it is only triable by the High Court. Magistrate Deborah Wanume remanded him as investigations continue.

3 Women Arrested
KAMPALA—
The Police on Thursday arrested three women suspected to be part of a racket snatching mobile phones during rush hours in Kampala’s taxi parks. The were arrested in the New Taxi Park with a phone suspected to have been stolen. The Police identified them as Anna Nambudo, Sarah Mpunde and Florence Kafuko. The Police said stolen phones were sold to unsuspecting buyers. By yesterday, investigations were underway with a view of producing the suspects in court to answer charges of theft.

Guard Held On Murder

— The Police have arrested a security guard of Uganda Securiko Limited, Amos Byaruhanga, accusing him of shooting dead a driver. District Police commander Wilson Kwanya said Byaruhanga shot dead Wilbert Nganwa on Tuesday night at Jovena petrol station. He said Nganwa shot while driving.
