JINJA — The town clerk of Buwenge, Grace Kisembe, the town Engineer, John Mutono, treasurer, Peter Mulaavu, secretary tender board Moses Mawerere and the acting town engineer, Moses Kadhuba, were recently charged with causing financial loss of over sh30m. They denied charges before Grade One Magistrate Sylvia Nabagala.

Police plans
KAMPALA — A large amount of the Police capital development budget is to be directed towards construction and improvement of barracks in a bid to ease the accommodation problem in the force. Police Under Secretary Bageya Waiswa said this recently while handing over 24 newly constructed housing units worth sh258m at Naguru Police Barracks.

RDC warns
MASAKA — The resident district commissioner, Barnabas Bwambale, has warned the Bakonzo against spending lots of money on funerals and weddings when their children lacked school fees. He recently advised parents at Kyempara Primary School to start a district scholarship.
