THE Uganda Joint Christian Council (UJCC) has appealed to the Government to fight pornography in the country.
UJCC secretary general the Rev. Grace Kaiso said pornography has contributed to immorality among the youth and moral degeneration in the country.
Kaiso (right) was recently closing a seminar at the Uganda Christian University Mukono.
The seminar, organised by the Mass Communications department, was meant to impart practical skills in broadcasting to media students.
Kaiso urged the students to utilise the skills they acquired to advocate for and sensitise the masses on the need for good moral values.
He urged the students to scrutinise imported traditions before adopting them in their societies, saying most of them were unacceptable in Africa.
Mass Communications department head Ilakut Ben Bella urged the students to work hard, saying jobs in the media were very competitive.
