Miss Ug now has huge ego

Barely two months into her reign as Miss Uganda, and already Barbara Kimbugwe’s ego has swelled that it is in danger of over shadowing her! Sleaze scouts tell me that when she went to Gulu for the Peace Week celebrations, her ego throbbed all the way there and back! Just before she was crowned Miss Uganda she was used to commuting by matatu. Not anymore. The squeeze threw wobbles when she found out she would be travelling to Gulu with the rest of the media in a coaster minibus. Once in Gulu, she again threw a tantrum when she discovered she had been booked into Kakanyero Hotel. Frothing at the mouth, she spat at the organisers saying a babe of her status cannot sleep in such a hovel! After giving the organisers a dose of sumbusa, she was eventually moved to Acholi Inn where Army Commander, Lt. Gen Aronda Nyakairima and diplomats spent the night. But that was not it. Come time to return to Kampala, the now feisty Kimbugwe demanded she travel in Winnie Lawoko’s white MTN Vitara. Unfortunately for the damsel there was no space and was humiliatingly forced to ride on the back seat of the dusty press van as the scribes drooled all over her.
