LUWEERO resident district commissioner Geoffrey Kyomukama has disagreed with the chairman, Abdul Nadduli, over a move the latter made recently to take pupils allegedly attacked by demons to a native doctor in Bamunanika.
Kyomukama, who was away at the time, said on Monday the move by the chairman was ‘backward’.

Centre shut

Masaka municipal council has directed the municipal education officer, David Kawooya, to close the newly constructed Masaka Lions club children’s education and play centre project worth sh132m, saying it was illegal.
The municipality education committee chairman, Henry Busulwa, said the centre had operated without a license for two years.

Cops blamed

A POLICE commissioner, Asan Kasingye, has blamed defilement of girls in Mukono on the Police.
He warned Police officers against taking bribes from suspects in order to destroy their files, saying it denied victims justice.
He said such officers would face serious punishments, including dismissal from the force.

Youth say no
