MUKWANO Group of Companies has started producing plastic chairs for the local and regional market.
MUKWANO Group of Companies has started producing plastic chairs for the local and regional market, the firm’s marketing manager, Jog Akhilesh, has said.
Kiganda Ssonko reports that Akhilesh said, “The chairs are an addition to our domestic and commercial plastic ware. Similar chairs in Uganda are all imported,†Akhilesh told reporters in Kampala recently.
He said chair production is part of their $1.5m 2004 expansion plan of adopting sophisticated plastic technology.
Akhilesh said their plastic products are available in Rwanda, DR Congo, Kenya, Burundi and Tanzania.
Akhilesh said production by AK-Plastics started two weeks ago.
