By Jovita AjunaOVER two million Ugandans lack proper housing., the new Regional Director for Habitat for Humanity in-charge of Middle East and East Africa has said.David Haskel, who is on a tour of the region, said recently that there was urgent need to address the problem by providing decent shelter and housing to the people.“We need two million houses to eliminate this problem as quickly as possible in Uganda and I know it will be done because the government is with us in this project,” Haskel said.In a speech read by Sarah Ibanda, Commissioner Human Settlements in the Ministry of Works, Housing and Communication, the Minister, Mr John Nasasira, said the Government was happy with the work of Habitat for and was ready to help.Ends
