Mbabazi Witness Affidavit Excluded

He was to testify in the petition by James Musinguzi against Kinkizi West MP and defence minister Amama Mbabazi.Mbabazi’s lawyer, Joseph Byamugisha, applied for the exclusion of the affidavit, saying Munubi was too ill to give evidence.“I have a problem with my next witness. He has recently had his prostate gland operated on and he cannot stand. I, therefore, request my learned friends to let us ignore his affidavit or have it expunged,” he said.Musinguzi’s lawyers objected to the application, saying they needed time to consult their client. But Justice Egonda Ntende overruled their objection.Earlier, Ali Rugomwa said Amos Nzeyi, a Kampala businessman, did not bribe people in Kihihi with sodas to vote for Mbabazi.Ends
