Kitante, Nabisunsa retain schools crowns

JACKSON Kikonyogo made an individual game high 23 points, but this could not inspire his school, Uganda Martyrs High School (UMHS) Rubaga, to lift the Kampala schools’ basketball championship trophy at Kibuli SS on Saturday.

But his school lost 42-45 to defending champions Kitante.Kitante was inspired by good performances from Anthony Wanjala and Tom Onyango to their second consecutive trophy.In the girls’ category, Nabisunsa out-played Kibuli to reclaim their title in a one-sided game.Nabisunsa had earlier beaten Kitante while Kibuli outplayed new entrants Royale Oasis in the semi finals.ends
