CAO Survives Stabbing

THE Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Kotido, Mr. Walter Iriama, recently survived being stabbed to death by three women, including a widow.

By Nathan EtenguTHE Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Kotido, Mr. Walter Iriama, recently survived being stabbed to death by three women, including a widow.The incident occurred at Nabilatuk trading centre, Nakapiripirit district where Iriama had convened a meeting to settle a case in which his brother was accused of killing a resident in the area.Iriama said the wife of the deceased, together with her sisters-in-law, pounced on him with knives and tried to stab him.“If it was not for Major Enock Kiberu, the UPDF commanding officer of the UPDF 25th battalion, I would have died,” Iriama told The New Vision.He said the family of the deceased had vowed to kill him to avenge the death of their relative.“One of my officers sustained an injury on his palm as he struggled with the women,” Kiberu said.He said the women were arrested and taken to Nakapiripirit Police Station.
