He did not introduce any games himself, but provided the gamblers with drinks and food. He used to charge every customer sh1,000 for their stay and would make about sh20,000 at the end of each day.One day, when his master had gone up country, Stanley decided to hold a major competition that would make the place very popular and earn him a lot of money. He even lowered the entry fee on that day and attracted a big crowd. Everything was going smoothly until he decided to play himself. He started by winning a few games, but just when he was beginning to enjoy his success, he started losing.By the time he came to his senses, he was deep in debt. When his creditors discovered that he could not pay them, they started to carry off household items. The woman of the house came by and on realising what had happened, managed to pay the men, but fired Stanley immediately.Ends
