Mbazzi ensured Destroyers suffered an early collapse after they were put in to bat by picking three for 25. Destroyers struggled at five wickets down in 25 overs for only 85 runs as they got grounded at 139 all out in 43.2 overs with Emmy Kibirango (28) and Nand Kishore (27) outstanding. Star player Kenneth Kamyuka (17) was caught and bowled by David Meya (3/21) who also dismissed Fred Mutebi (13) and Richard Okia (00). Kamyuka led the fightback, restricting Wandereres to 31/3 in five overs. A 78 run partnership by John Lubia (27) and Mbazzi (44) was enough to destroy the Destroyers. They won with 26.4 overs to spare. At Lugogo, a sizzling century from Baig Akbar (100) propelled Tornado to a massive 224 victory over hapless Nile in what turned a thorough thumping. The opening batsman made a record partnership of 173 runs with Joel Olweny (84). An unbeaten 66 from Nehal Bibodi saw them notch 307/4. Ends
