By Nicholas KajobaVice-President Dr. Speciosa Kazibwe has said she does not regret exposing the battering inflicted on her by her estranged husband Charles Kazibwe.“I know many distinguished political women leaders who are battered by their husbands daily but have kept quiet. But I decided to come out and expose Engineer Kazibwe’s habits and now most men have halted beating their wives,” Kazibwe said.She said as a leader, she found it hard to counsel women who were battered when she was also a victim.Kazibwe was winding up her sensitisation tour on co-operatives at Bulijjo Primary School, Mukono, on Thursday. She said she had received various message from women leaders questioning why she had exposed her husband in public, which she said was the best solution. She asked women who are battered to speak out in public.Kazibwe said she is controversial because she talks of what people did not want to hear about. “The other time Winnie Byanyima (MP Mbarara Municipality) said I like talking much about sex, but I talk the truth,” she said.Ends
