TWO issues coincide to make the 42nd Makerere University Graduation unique. First, the graduands will be conferred by someone else other than the President, in accordance with the new University Act. Second, the graduands will wait for several months to graduate. Over 3,000 students were scheduled to graduate this week.
A statement from the vice-chancellor stopped the function at the eleventh hour.
The university public relations officer, Hellen Kaweesa, said the list of graduands was not ready due incomplete results.
