THE retired Bishop of Busoga Diocese, Cyprian Bamwoze, has called on believers to foster unity and development instead of turning the church into a battlefield. My appeal to the brethren is to avoid indulging in rebellions influenced by power struggle hostilities and wealth, but work towards peace,†Bamwoze, who for several years, defied the House of Bishops resolution to quit, said. He was speaking during a talk show hosted at Kiira FM in Jinja on Saturday. Bamwoze said he had no ill feeling against the many born-again churches. He said as long as the sects preached the word of God, he would encourage people to utilise the freedom of worship. He said some people incite Christians to rebel.
