Kayunga RDC Naava Nabagesera has decried what she described as massive squandering of funds from the centre to facilitate UPE programmes in the district.
Naava made the remarks while on an inspection tour of government projects in the district last week. She expressed regret when she saw shoddy work by contractors building classroom blocks for UPE.
Most of the affected building projects are under the SFG project. Naava threatened to take legal action against the officials responsible for the shoddy work. “I am going to take up these issues with the authorities directly responsible for this racket,†she said.
