BANTAM Fred Mukasa made a strong bid for Police by outclassing Stephen Danze of Iganga to carry the fight 3-0 in his second attempt at the national inter-mediates that opened at Lugogo yesterday. KCC junior side RSK topped the day at three points, one ahead of their seniors who tied with Marine, Mobile and Police.

Mutyaba out
FORMER Cranes international midfielder Joseph Mutyaba was yesterday released on bail after fraud charges he faces were reduced from embezzlement to obtaining goods by false pretence. Mutyaba, a fuel co-ordinator with Germasu Enterprises was charged in October with embezzlement of fuel worth sh13m.

Nakivubo face
NAKIVUBO War Memorial stadium is undergoing renovations prior to hosting the CECAFA Club Championship next month. Manager Eugene Ssemuju said trenches are being trunked to the nearby Nakivubo channel in a bid to drain the water-logged stadium. Royal Mail Company is expected to finish the work in time.

THIS year’s uniforms for the Nile Special Super League are expected to arrive in the country by the end of this year, Nile Breweries corporate affairs manager David Nsiyona said yesterday. “We ordered for the stripe very aware of the clubs preferences and we expect them here in three weeks time.”
