A new tournament aimed at bringing up new soccer talent and organised by Friends of Football (FOF) is in the offing,
A new tournament aimed at bringing up new soccer talent and organised by Friends of Football (FOF) is in the offing, writes William Muwonge.
The U-16 Shell Uganda sponsored event has drawn 750 kids from Kampala, Masaka and Jinja districts.
Shell brand and communications manager Masadde Kabuye, said the event due to start before the end of the year will be launched today. He said the event is organised on a community-based format.
“The kick off date will be confirmed later, but the event will run until February,†Kabuye said yesterday. The event is geared at picking new talent from the communities involved. “The tournament will start with preliminaries in the localities of the seven districts.â€
The event targets holiday makers.
