This followed the team’s failure to make it to Egypt for the Zone V All Africa Games soccer tournament qualifiers, which were set to start yesterday. The country is expected to be fined $150 for withdrawing from the tournament.
Uganda was among five countries set to take part in the qualifiers, but the tournament remained an affair between Kenya and Egypt after the hosts failed to provide tickets for the participating countries as earlier promised.
Eritrea and Ethiopia had pulled out of the tournament earlier while the Kenya government salvaged its team at the late hour.
