UNRFII gets peace tips
ARUA – The executive director of the Centre for Conflict Resolution, Stella Sabiiti, has said the only solution to a conflict is to address all its stages including the root causes. Sabiiti said this while presenting a paper on, “Separating people from a conflict” during a workshop to sensitise and prepare UNRFII rebels for a final peace agreement with the Government at Arua Catholic Centre on Thursday.

UPDF saves 18 captives
GULU – At least 18 captives were rescued by the UPDF in Gulu and Kitgum districts. Military and local sources said on Monday that the army also captured an LRA rebel fighter in Pagak in Lamogi sub-county in Kilak. The UPDF 4th Division spokesman, Lt. Paddy Ankunda, said five of the captives were rescued in Parabongo in Pabbo sub-county. He said the UPDF also arrested a spy for the LRA rebel, whose names he did not reveal.
