THE New Vision newspaper vendors in Busoga region were on Saturday treated to an end-of-year bash at TimTon Hotel Jinja.
The jubilant vendors praised The New Vision for giving them jobs and recognising their role by organising annual parties for them.
The company rewarded Paul Mulefu, who sells papers on Jinja’s Main Street, for being the best vendor in 2002.
The New Vision’s eastern regional marketing officer, Joseph Lwanga, urged the vendors to work harder in 2003.
He said the corporation was striving to improve their working conditions by building them kiosks.
Lwanga said the company will also give them more raincoats and umbrellas.
