NAKASONGOLA – Scores of retrenched UPDF soldiers are stranded in the district where they assembled last week to receive their terminal packages. The soldiers complained that the paying officers deducted sh20,000 from each soldier’s sh300,000 package purportedly to provide transport for them. However, transport was reportedly provided for only a few of the soldiers. Some soldiers were retrenched over their poor health and advanced age.Ends
