As with sex, so with human rights!

SIR— I am so thankful to the Minstry of Education for coming up with a brilliant idea of sex education and I am waiting for how the examinations are going to be set and how many papers to be sat! Sorry, I was only joking.I have something to contribute. Please introduce as well human rights and let our adults of tomorrow know human rights and how to respect them from childhood. We do not respect human rights not because we are bad people but just because they were neither taught us nor practised in our schools since even our teachers faced the same situation.Let us know more about arrest, tourture, detention, etc; then we shall know to how to respect the rights of houseboys, housegirls, children, workers, managers and presidents, etc. And to achieve this we shall need to introduce a powerful syllabus on human rights in our education system. And so in future, for one to get a job in the public service, perfomance in the human rights subject should count much.Ismail MulondoKampala
