Zziwa to guide Katto

By Douglas Mazune FORMER National Rally champion Emma Katto has taken on Moses Lumala’s former co-driver Peter Zziwa for the Kobil 2002 rally due this weekend.Zziwa who guided Lumala to the 1999 National rally championship victory did the final route reccing with Katto yesterday.“We are particularly happy with the third and fourth sections because they are tight and a bit rough,” Zziwa told The New Vision on phone from Ntungamo while still on the route.Charlie Lubega and Moses Lumala together with their navigators also did their final reccing yesterday while Charles Muhangi was yet to go back for the final touches.“We have finished and we are on our way to Kampala,” Lubega said on phone on his way from Mbarara at 4.05pm.The rally that is the second round of the NRC series is one of the most challenging events on the FMU calendar.The seeding ceremony will be conducted at 8.00pm today at Regency Hotel at Bakuli, a suburb of Kampala.The three-day event starts on Friday with a super special stage at Garuga double track circuit immediately after scrutineering of cars.The next day cars will cover five sections between Kampala and Mbarara where drivers will spend a night.On Sunday the final leg will cover three sections in Mbarara, Rwentuha, Ntungamo, Bushenyi and Ishaka Entry list:Moses LumalaCharlie LubegaEmma KattoCharles MuhangiGiovanni StorchiKuku RanjitJamil SenyonjoAdams MukasaWilliam BlickArthur BlickAbed LubambulaFred Kizito ends
