By Norman Katende THE Mini Cricket Development Programme (MCDP) received a boost of sh20m.The boost of sh10m each from Stanbic bank and MTN was announced at Lugogo club house yesterday in the presence of cricket officials and sponsors.“The donation has come at the right time and it is a great boost to the mini cricket festival this year,” said Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) chairman Francis Kazinduki who promised accountability after receiving the cheque.“This is what we are offering for the beginning. Stanbic bank has come up with the sponsorship because we have been impressed by the professionalism in UCA,” said Stanbic bank executive director Peter Olivier after handing over the cheque.MTN promotion and sponsorship manager Aggrey Kagonyera also echoed the same words.“UCA has a strong background. They are accountable, organised and have a strategy that is definitely working. We thought it befitting to work with such a successfully organisation,” he said.ends
