Man held SEMBABULE —Mateete residents have handed over to the Police a man suspected of being an Allied Democratic Force rebel. Jamir Lubega, 40, of Bukakata landing site was arrested on Tuesday night after residents suspected he was one of the tabliqs who attacked their area. ------- Defiler jailed MASAKA — The district High Court has sentenced a man to eight year in prison for defiling a nine-year-old girl. Prosecution alleged that Hannington Senyonjo, 40, of Kyabagoma village, on July 13, 2000 seduced the victim with money to buy pancakes and other items. ------- UPDF pay LUWEERO — A section of Bombo UPDF officers have expressed concern over the closure of the records office, saying the move may delay payment of their March salaries. The officers were last paid in February. The records section was on Wednesday closed to investigate a series of fraudulent practices.
