A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand!

SIR— I have read with dismay recent media reports about the growing wrangles among the top UPDF officers. This is most unfortunate especially at a time when the enemy is attacking and killing innocent Ugandans in the north.

SIR— I have read with dismay recent media reports about the growing wrangles among the top UPDF officers. This is most unfortunate especially at a time when the enemy is attacking and killing innocent Ugandans in the north. How will these commanders fight the enemy when they are fighting amongst themselves? With these apparent cracks in the command of the UPDF, the insurgency is likely flourish at the peril of innocent Ugandans. I urge the army leaders to desist from unnecessary wrangles which may destroy this historical force that brought peace to this country. Samuel MugasiUniversity of Reading, UK
