By Gerald Businge George Nyamyaka on Friday took the oath of office as the new chairman of Kibaale District Council with a call on the Bakiga and Banyoro to unite. The ceremony held at the district headquarters, was presided over by the National Political Commissar, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga. Two ministers and over ten MPs attended.Namyaka was declared unopposed for the post as a compromise candidate three weeks ago following Fred Ruremera’s resignation. In his speech, Namyaka promised to work with both sides to develop the district.“Let’s unite and forge a way ahead,”he said.Kiyonga advised the people of Kibaale to learn and respect each other’s culture and differences.
