Engagement ring on wrong finger, wrong hand

Fang Fang restaurant in Communications House seems to be the ideal place to pop the big question. Of late, we have seen a spate of engagement dinners in the popular Chinese eatery David Nsiyona of Nile Breweries joined the band wagon when he proposed to his Sylvia Ofumbi last week. Nsiyona should have slipped the ring on the wedding finger which doubles as engagement ring finger according to British tradition.Before him, Paul Nabugere of Dembe Trading did the same, only he put the ring on the wrong hand of his beloved. Oscar Sebunya son to the former minister of health in the Buganda kingdom proposed to his girlfriend of many years Gerry Opoka at a party hosted by a friend in Ntinda. Apparently he wanted it to be a quiet proposal but was overheard by a few people. The couple got so excited by their private moment and left the rest of the guests wondering what was going on.
