Opondo Hails Role Of NGOS

THE Director of Information at The Movement secretariat, Ofwono Opondo has applauded the complimentary role NGOs play in the economic empowerment of grass root communities in Uganda, reports <b>Jovita Ajuna.</b>

THE Director of Information at The Movement secretariat, Ofwono Opondo has applauded the complimentary role NGOs play in the economic empowerment of grass root communities in Uganda, reports Jovita Ajuna.“The role NGOs play in promoting productive areas in health, micro-finance and agriculture is the key achievement replacing the failed government infrastructure in delivering vital services to the people,” Ofwono said during the 10th anniversary of the Uganda Association for socio-economic Progress at Ngogwe sub-county in Mukono last week. He commended the project co-ordinator, Peter Kiwummulo for lobbying donor agencies.Kiwummulo said, “Ten years of USEP had brought about great changes economically and socially especially in Ngogwe.”
