The Police in Lwemiyaga are holding a man for allegedly torturing his wife and burning her private parts using polythene paper (kaveera) after a nasty dream.

Eddie Ssejjoba reports that Bernard Twine of Lwemiyaga Trading Centre in Ssembabule, allegedly had a dream in which he saw his wife, Grace Arinaitwe, having sex with another man.
Twine woke up and pounced on her, claiming that she must have met the man earlier in the day.
The Police said the neighbours forced the door open to rescue the woman from her husband’s battering.
They said the man had often beaten his wife. The wife reportedly said she was surprised by her husband’s action when he woke up and began beating her.
He also burnt her private parts with a polythene bag, saying his dreams must have reflected on what happened earlier in the day.
The Police rescued the man from the mob which was threatening to lynch him. The woman was admitted to Ssembabule Health Centre.
