KAMPALA City Council (KCC) are the inaugural Inter City regional netball championship queens. The event ended in Nairobi at the weekend.

KAMPALA City Council (KCC) are the inaugural Inter City regional netball championship queens. The event ended in Nairobi at the weekend.
Reuben Olita reports that while needing to beat Kenya Prisons by atleast 15 goals, national champions Kenya Telecoms faltered thus giving KCC the title on goal difference.
Both KCC and Telecoms had the same number of points (10) but KCC scored more goals.
KCC coach Janet Nahamya was happy with the victory saying it was through hard work.
Enroute to winning the title, KCC beat NSSF 38-27, Postbank 60-12, Prisons 42-32 before drawing with Telecoms 33-33.
They also produced the top scorer in Patience Najuma with 60 goals to her credit.
Mbogo High also gave Uganda the schools’ title. They beat Hidden Talents and Kamukunji SS.
