Goalkeeper Muzondiwa Gonese of Zimbabwean premier league club Masvigo United has been banned from soccer for life after an assault on a referee last month, officials announced. Gonese attacked referee Philip Kawara with a double-footed lunge during a cup semi-final against AmaZulu after a penalty was awarded.
