KAMPALA City Council (KCC) has ordered the demolition of an “illegal” perimeter wall at the posh home of High Court judge Solome Bossa in Muyenga, Kampala.

Grace Tabuzibwa, the division assistant Town Clerk, said yesterday in a meeting at the division headquarters with residents of Bukasa Village, Muyenga, that, “the structure blocked a planned existing road. It should be pulled down immediately.”

The resolution was made in the presence of the Justice Bossa, the Masaka resident judge, but she remained silent most of the time. Her husband also in attendance tried to convince the KCC officials that the structure was not erected on a road.

The villagers led by area chairman, Francis Ssozi, told the officials that “access to over 200 homes behind the perimeter wall is very hard. We would also have problems in case of fire out breaks.”

Tabuzibwa concurred with the seemingly angry men and women residents.

“I went to the scene with a team and I realised that the structures had blocked the road,” he said.

“Any person who wants to make developments on a given piece of land would have to approach us so that their developments do not interfere with the plans of Kampala City Council,” he said.

Tabuzibwa said the division would mount a crack down on illegal structures.
