ASANASIO Lutalo of Mpambire village, Mpigi, was cheated of his motorcycle after ignorantly signing an agreement admitting that he had been paid the whole amount when he hadn’t been paid a shilling.
This happened on June12, when Lutalo’s friend Ndawula of Nateete took two men to purchase his motorcycle since he had for a long time been looking for a buyer in vain.
he saw this as a golden chance to sell his property. Due to his greed for money, he never paid much attention to the agreement he signed.
They told him that they had no cash because they had lent it to their friend who had a problem. but instead, they asked him to make an agreement accepting that he had been paid the full amount because the owner of the money who had sent them would ask them why they did not have the motorcycle if they had paid all the money.
Given Lutalo’s friendship with and trust in Ndawula who brought the buyers, he just agreed with them and signed an agreement that he had been paid the full amount of sh1m yet he hadn’t been paid anything.
After giving away the machine, he went boasting that he had got rid of the cycle that he had been stuck with for a long time.
When asked whether he had been paid, Lutalo said that he hadn’t but would be paid later. they merely laughed at him saying that Ndawula who had left Mpabiire a year before after selling his land had turned into a Kampala city thug. lutalo
regretted his folly. Ends
