IF YOU thought that witchcraft was only in Africa, Rebecca Brown has a surprise for you. Her book is set in the United States of America where, through Jesus Christ, she led a staunch Satanist to God.
The good news is that Jesus still looks out for that lost sheep who is a night dancer, thief or murderer. He longs to rescue you from Satan’s claws.
The reader will be pushed to realise that being passive is not the way to go. This attitude has no place in spiritual warfare.
The author challenges the reader by bringing to light that the fact that to win such a war can only be done through Jesus. Brown urges the reader to make a conscious effort to seek God completely and focus on priorities.
Brown bases her book on biblical scripture and some Christian books written by other authors.
A born again medical doctor, she narrates her experience, praying for the deliverance of a Satanist from the clutches of Satan.
Elaine (not real name) was dedicated to Satan at birth. in her teenage, she was introduced to a cult. Her desire for increased evil powers led her to becoming a high priestess. Eventually, she became Lucifer’s bride, a position that was honoured among the cult members.
This cult is secretly called the brotherhood. Animal and human sacrifices were made to Satan.
Brown was committed to serving her Lord Jesus Christ when she finally met a Satanist Elaine.
She was working as an intern at the Memorial hospital in USA when she sensed darkness in her spirit, which seemed to be waiting.
This plunged her into a series of events that would test her utmost commitment to God.
She learnt how to fight the powers of darkness using the power of God. Her encounter with Elaine, the Satanist who was assigned to kill Brown because of her powerful prayers that hindered the devil’s activities within the Memorial hospital led Elaine to Christ eventually.
At first, Elaine was resistant to the gospel because the demons in her rejected Jesus. But Rebecca did not give up on her. While Elaine was in hospital, Brown often talked to her about Jesus.
Brown explains that demons are evil forces that can inhibit a person’s body and drive them to desire and do evil. The state of demon possession occurs when these evil forces take total control of the person.
Finally, Satan’s bride gave her life to Jesus. But the struggle had just began. Brown finally took Elaine to her home to support her during the deliverance.
Together, they faced challenges of this spiritual fight. The demons made Elaine unconscious sometimes so that she could not respond to God’s word. Other times, demons led Elaine to try and kill Brown.
Human spirits also attacked them throwing them against walls in an attempt to take back Elaine. In her book, Brown states that human spirits are human beings who have the ability to get out of their physical bodies with the use of witchcraft and go to attack people Satan commands them to. This occurs depending on the level of involvement of the person in witchcraft.
Brown uses simple language to describe powerful experiences of other people on deliverance from the clutches of Satan. She explains complex situations that bind us in demonic power. She quotes the bible to relate it with people’s struggles.
She warns that people should test the truth in her book referring to the bible since the devil can come as an angel of light.
Although God uses her to pray for deliverance of people, Brown says she is no expert. Like you, she is still learning how to fight.
‘He came to set the captives free’ is a book that exposes the deceit of the foe. It shows how the spirit world works but equips individuals on how to triumph.
Do not bury your head in the sand. Learn to fight Satan, this is the hard-hitting message in this book. The events of deliverance as they unfold keep the reader on their toes. If you thought that such things happen in the movies think again. Evil is real.

But prayer is a powerful weapon that destroys the evil spirit world. Anointed oil is a tool that can be used too. Despite the challenges there is hope in the Lord.
Although, Satanists will come to churches to bring them down Jesus is the rock on which to stand. Jesus stands the test of time. Ends
