Sh50m saved from ghosts
MUKONO - Officials have intercepted cheques for sh50m meant to pay ‘ghost teachers’ in the district. Education officer Edward Kalanzi Ssewanyana said this at the annual general meeting of Mukono and Kayunga teachers co-operative society at the Colline Hotel Mukono over the weekend. “The names on the cheques were not of teachers appointed by the district service commission,” he said.
