MBARARA Municipality MP Winnie Byanyima has denied allegations that presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye had turned into a multipartyist following his alliance with former Kampala Mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala and DP chief Paul Ssemogerere.
Byanyima on Tuesday told journalists in Mbarara town that Besigye had served the country and was free to stand for election like any other citizen.
"Besigye has accepted Sebaggala into his camp as a way of trying to revamp the Movement that has become sectarian," she said.
Byanyima said Besigye's camp did not have any morally dirty people.
She said President Yoweri Museveni's team included leaders who had been censured.
She criticised Museveni for siding with his brother, Salim Saleh, in the Uganda Commercial Bank saga.
