Besigye Tortured Me, Says Nadduli

LUWEERO district chairman Haji Abdu Nadduli has accused presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye of torturing and imprisoning him, reports Joyce Namutebi.

LUWEERO district chairman Haji Abdu Nadduli has accused presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye of torturing and imprisoning him, reports Joyce Namutebi. Addressing residents of Mukalazi zone, Bukoto 1 parish, Nadduli said Besigye, one Serwanga and another, Byemalo, imprisoned him in 1995 over a letter he wrote to Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 11. He told The New vision that President Yoweri Museveni released him after he had spent six months in prison. He did not state which prison it was. Besigye was not available for comment. Nadduli condemned Besigye's alliance with the Democratic Party chief, Dr. Paul Ssemogerere, and former presidential aspirant, Al Hajji Nasser Sebaggala, saying there would be a coup over who should be the president if they won.
