Sir- Allow me to ask why UNHCR relief items (blankets and pans) are being sold by one of their partners. We understand that these items were meant for refugees in areas like Elema, but surprisingly, this partner in Adjumani decided to sell some of these blankets openly in their stores and only use very few in the designed areas. Late last year, some of the blankets found their way to Gulu and Pakwach. Could UNHCR find out why these items are being sold and worse still without receipts? Where does the money go? Blankets are being sold at sh10,000, yet the market price is sh20,000. Business people and their partners' staff are the beneficiaries. We lost our property to rebels and are prepared to work for such items. UNHCR, please help us. Name withheld on request
